Grand Strand Health names new chief financial officer

Grand Strand Health is pleased to welcome Jay Pettus as Chief Financial Officer for the health system.

Myrtle Beach, SC — Grand Strand Health is pleased to welcome Jay Pettus as Chief Financial Officer for the health system.  

Jay has more than 20 years of healthcare accounting and finance experience, all with HCA Healthcare. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer of HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital. In his time at Orange Park, he contributed to improvements in throughput, led financial reporting functions, oversaw the deployment of over $20 million in capital improvements, and helped identify strategic planning opportunities for the future expansion of healthcare services for HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital in Clay County.

During his career with HCA Healthcare, Jay previously served as CFO at Oviedo Medical Center in Oviedo, FL; Assistant CFO at Memorial Health in Savannah, GA; Controller at HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital, HCA Florida JFK North Hospital, and Oviedo Medical Center; and Internal Audit Manager at the corporate level. 

Jay earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Accountancy from Belmont University in Nashville, TN, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Tennessee.
